Boquillas crossing moves to winter schedule

Body The Boquillas Port of Entry, located in Big Bend National Park will begin their winter hours starting Thursday, November 2. The crossing will be open five days a week, beginning on Wednesdays and going through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Haunted house fundraiser to be held in Terlingua

Body Time to dust off and/ or create your Halloween costume and get ready for the 2nd Annual Haunted House. This will be held in the Terlingua Ghost Town at the Crisis Center on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings on October 26, 27, and 28. Doors open at 7 p.m. The fee is $10.

Sul Ross accepting 2024 law enforcement academy applicants

Body The H. Joaquin Jackson Law Enforcement Academy at Sul Ross State University is accepting applicants to the Class of 2024, which starts January 8. The academy, housed in the College of Education and Professional Studies, provides two types of training programs.
