SKYWARN scheduled for Tuesday

The National Weather Service out of Midland and Odessa will present a SKYWARN weather safety and preparedness seminar on Tuesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. in room 130 of the Turner Range Animal Science Center. The event is free, and all ages are welcome to attend. The seminar is intended to teach attendees about severe weather, severe weather safety, and the wild weather of West Texas. Senate bill would curb home insurance rates without approval Lawmakers in the Texas Senate are considering a measure that would require home insurers to get approval from regulators before increasing rates more than 10%, the Houston Chronicle reported.

AHS Golf shines at home

The AHS boys’ and girls’ golf teams hit the links at home last week. The boys finished first in the tournament with an overall total of 347, and the girls placed fourth as a team with 437.
