The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will hold a Far West Texas private applicators training on Wednesday, July 16, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Reeves County Extension Office in Pecos.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced several Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) enrollment opportunities for agricultural producers and landowners on May 12. USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) is accepting offers for both the General and Continuous CRP beginning today through June 6, 2025.
The Brewster County Commissioners Court held its regular meeting on Tuesday in the commissioner’s courtroom at the Brewster County Courthouse. With all commissioners present, Brewster County Judge Greg Henington presided over a wide-ranging session.
The Alpine City Council met for its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 6, with Mayor Catherine Eaves presiding. All councilors were present except Ward 1 Councilor Reagan Stone.
The Alpine Emergency Services Board held its regular meeting on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Alpine Fire Department’s meeting room. Directors Mark Rose and Albert Benitez were absent due to emergencies, and Aaron Rodriguez was absent. Guest Brian Young of the Alpine Volunteer Fire Department and Vernon M. Tucker were also in attendance.
