PET OF THE WEEK
Alpine Humane Society Pet of the Week is Aries, one of many, many kittens available at the Alpine Animal Shelter. All kittens are spayed or neutered before adopting out, but you can choose your kitten now, and pick it up when it is ready to go. And did you know that adopting two kittens can result in healthier, happier cats living more enriched lives? It’s true!
When you support the Alpine Humane Society Thrift Store, you support pets in your community, and the pets in the Alpine Animal Shelter. The money brought in when we sell your donated items helps so much. And every time you shop at the store, you contribute directly to the care of pets. The thrift store accepts nearly all items (with mattresses, box springs, infant seats, and safety helmets being the exceptions) during store hours, Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Adoptions are handled by Alpine Animal Services at the city shelter, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-6 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2900 East Old Marathon Highway.
The Alpine Humane Society Thrift Store and Cattery is at 706 North Fifth Street in Alpine. For information about adoptions or other services, call the shelter at 432-837-9030. To view adoptable pets, visit alpinehumanesociety.org.
