A university student from Poland has embarked on a summer exchange program selling educational books and apps for families of young toddlers all the way up to college prep. Karolina Jeszke is going door to door in Alpine selling these books, after obtaining her City of Alpine permit.

STAAR results show improvement needed in certain areas

The Alpine ISD Board of Trustees held their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. One of the main items on the agenda were the results of the STAAR testing, that was being held up by the state along with some credits to the district from the construction companies that built the new high school.

Auto accident sends two to hospital

According to reports from the Alpine Fire Department, a major vehicle accident occurred just west of Alpine in the vicinity of the former Chinese food restaurant. Two vehicles collided on West Hwy 90, forcing one to overturn.
