His blood perfects us

Body
The book of Leviticus teaches us that life is in the blood. Chapter 12 of Exodus describes how God instructed Moses to use blood to save many people from death. For the next fifteen hundred years, the priests reenacted this concept using blood to save people from their sins.

Vitex can be pruned the same as crape myrtles

Body
Dear Neil: Two years ago, I bought two very small Vitex plants in small pots. I planted them in our flowerbed, hoping they would cover unsightly electrical equipment. They are no longer small, and I’m concerned the electric company will be coming after me. Should I take them out? (The grass is artificial.)

Quilts of many colors

Body
The annual quilt show was held this past Saturday at the Sunshine House, showcasing the talents of local quilters. The annual quilt show offers a raffle for a quilt (pictured in the background,) display quilts, challenge projects, and quilts for sale to benefit the Sunshine House or the Desert Sky Quilters, and everyone can vote on the challenge projects and the viewer’s choice.
Robbie Ann Burns stands beside one of several quilts she had on display at the annual quilt show this past Saturday. Burns’ quilt is entitled “My Story on a Bookshelf” where she commented, “I don’t believe any book should be banned. I think we can learn something from all of them.” The quilt listed many of the books Burns had read over the years, and although she’d had several offers to buy it, she turned them down.
