The City of Alpine held its regularly scheduled meeting on Nov. 16, and illegal gambling and coin operated machine establishments generated plenty of discussion.
For those with political aspirations, the filing period for the March 1, 2022, primary is underway. The filing window opened Nov. 13, and will close Monday, Dec. 13. Potential candidates can file only during that period.
Alpine Humane Society Pet of the Week is Hank, a five-year-old terrier mix who loves exploring outdoors, then coming back to find a lap where he can be spoiled rotten. With soft petting on the head and patience, he will show his true side. He likes being carried, cuddled, and having his booty scratched.
