What started out as Brown Santa delivering Christmas gifts to local children has turned into an effort that extends through the winter months and beyond. Demand for Brewster County Sheriff’s Office Brown Santa program has increased over the years, and continues to grow in the wake of the ongoing COVID epidemic.

Bucks win in Bi-District

As the seconds ticked off the clock at James H. Bird Memorial Stadium in Big Lake, Tray Ervin and Jordan Rodriguez were amidst a water bottle shower celebrating a tad early as Alpine defeated the San Angelo Grape Creek Eagles, 27-14. The referees let the Bucks jump around with bursts of water cascading 15-20 feet high as the players celebrated another first round playoff win and were crowned Bi-District champions once again.

Foster always on the attack

Shaun Foster is like one of those Wild West characters out of a book, 6’3” inches tall, and practically skinny. He’s got a million-dollar smile and a giant head of hair. And he’s got those cowboy good looks, a tall, lanky laidback cowboy, but his play on the grid-iron is altogether different. He is constantly proving a menace to opposing teams’ quarterbacks and other clubs’ offenses in general.
