Alpine track takes top spots

The Alpine Track and Field Team traveled to Fort Stockton on Saturday to compete in the 82nd Annual Comanche Relays, with the girls’ varsity and JV capturing the division championship with 120 points and the boys’ JV earning a 2nd-place team finish with 115 points. The girls outperformed Midland Christian, Presidio, Fort Stockton, Kermit, Water Valley, and Pecos, earning first-place finishes in the 400m, 3200m, long jump, triple jump, and with heavy scoring in the 1600m and relay events.

For that reason, the Alpine City Council has begun a comprehensive review of our Home Rule Charter, and residents are invited to participate in this important process.
