Vitex trees require full sun to bloom properly

Body
Dear Neil, I planted a 6-foot chaste tree in the spring in my garden area. The tree had some blooms on it at the time. It has prospered, sending off new branches and leaves. It is loaded with berries, but the berries have not turned into blooms. The tree gets ample water, but it is planted in an area that does not get direct sunlight for an extended period. Is that the problem? If so, can you offer advice on how I should remove and transplant it?
