AISD athletics posts summer strength and conditioning workout times

The Alpine ISD athletic department has issued the dates and times for their summer strengthening and conditioning workouts. All workouts are for boys and girls for incoming seventh graders through 12th grade and will be held at the Alpine High School field house from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the weight room.

Alpine 7on7 football qualifier set for end of month

The Alpine 7on7 summer football is set to begin soon, with several scrimmages that will happen locally before the state qualifying games scheduled for May 31 in Wink. Alpine is currently scheduled in Pool B to play against Hale Center, Odessa Compass, and Morton for the first rounds.

AHS athletics stay strong in summer

This summer, the Alpine High School athletes will still be hard at work to keep their skills sharp for the upcoming fall sports season. The summer activities include the Strength and Conditioning, SAC program, which lasts from 8-10 a.m. four days a week for six weeks.

Four AHS sluggers named to First-team All-District

Four of this year’s Alpine Fightin’ Buck varsity baseball team have been named First-team All-District players. Along with these four outstanding athletes, two other Bucks were named to the Second-team All-District along with the district 4-3A offensive MVP and an honorable mention.

City of Alpine now accepting HOT tax grant applications

Applications are currently being accepted for Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) grants from the City of Alpine for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Visitor events and other projects that draw overnight visits to the city are eligible for funding consideration, according to the requirements of state law.
