Medical equipment, mental health top hospital meeting

The Big Bend Regional Hospital District held its monthly meeting on Thursday, March 21 at 5 p.m. in the district’s administrative office. Board members Reagan Reed, treasurer, Valynda Henington, director- district 2, Angela Juett, secretary, Dr. Laura Portillo, director-district 1, Buddy Cavness, chairman, and J.D. Newsom, executive director were all in attendance to listen to asks and discuss district business.

Alpine ISD discusses unconventional revenue opportunities

The Alpine ISD board of trustees met last Wednesday, March 20 in a special meeting to approve donations and discuss the possibility of future passive income. All board members were present, as they were required to participate in a budget workshop and team-building session after the approval and discussion of the above items.

The Brewster County Commissioners Court held its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 26. During the meeting, Kayse Muratori, the Geographic Information System 911 coordinator with the Rio Grand Council of Governments, informed the court of a project that the Texas Geographic Information Office (TGIO) has been developing recently.

Ingredients: For Chicken: 1.5lb. boneless, skinless, chicken thighs 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon paprika ¼ teaspoon or more of salt ¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper 2 tablespoons of olive oil For Gnocchi: 16 ounces of potato gnocchi 4 ounces of sundried tomatoes in oil, drained and chopped 6 cloves of minced garlic ½ cup chicken broth or stock 1 cup heavy cream 1 teaspoon of Italian season or Herbs de Provence ½ teaspoon paprika 5 ounces fresh spinach 7-ounce can of artichoke hearts, chopped ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, no stems Directions: Season chicken thighs with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
