When it came time for the University of Texas to construct the McDonald Observatory there were two problems. First, they had no location and in addition the university had no working astronomers on faculty.

WEEK Alpine Humane Society Pet of the Week is Pinkerton! Meet Pinkerton. A four-year-old boxer mix, this gentle giant is a very energetic and playful individual. He likes to hang out in the sun with his other dog friends, especially if there’s a pool.
