Body WEEK Alpine Humane Society Pet of the Week is Felix. Felix Is a very sweet, friendly cat but prefers to keep a little to himself. Cuddles and scratches are his favorite pastimes. He’s got the chunkiest cheeks you just want to pinch.

Body The Paisano Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution presented DAR Good Citizen Awards to seniors from five area high schools at an awards ceremony onApril 2, held in the hospitality room of the First Presbyterian Church of Alpine.

Body In an effort to clear a backlog of traffic citations which drivers have failed to address; the Justice of the Peace Precinct One Court in Brewster County will begin issuing “Notices of Failure to Appear Prior to Issuance of a Warrant”.

Body The Kiwanis Club would like to thank everyone who participated in our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. It was a beautiful day in Alpine. We would like to thank the Alpine Police Dept, the Alpine Volunteer Fire Dept and Lindsey Valenzuela.

Body Right now, the Texas legislature is spending a disproportionate amount of time fighting over something that isn’t good for Texas and doesn’t align with Texan values: vouchers.

Body Alpine competes against four schools in the district for golf; Odessa Compass, Kermit, Crane and Stanton. District tournaments took place these last two weeks in Monahans and Fort Stockton, with district play concluding in Fort Stockton on April 5.
