Body A week off is a good thing for most high school basketball teams, and the Alpine Bucks are no exception. And after suffering a 70-60 loss at Kermit Jan. 10, the Bucks were hoping to be full strength entering Tuesday’s game at Presidio.

Body Both the Lady Buck basketball teams traveled to Kermit last Tuesday to finish off the first half of district play. The JV Lady Bucks played hard but struggled scoring points in the first half.

Body It was a solid team win for the Sul Ross State men’s basketball squad. On Saturday evening, the Lobos ended their three-game losing streak by defeating the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets, 96-76, at the Brownwood Coliseum.
