What are you especially looking forward to in your senior year? One of the things I’m looking forward to the most is my senior prom with my friends. What activities are you involved in during your senior year? I’m the president for the Alpine FFA chapter, as well as a member of the National Honor Society.

Early voting starts Tuesday

Early voting for the March 1 Republican and Democratic primary elections starts Tuesday, and citizens will have many opportunities to cast their ballots. All registered voters in all Brewster County precincts may cast their ballots early at theVal Clark Beard Complex, 203 North Seventh Street in Alpine.

Awards continue to pour in for football team

Coach John Fellows just received an award he cannot quit bragging and smiling about. That’s because it’s for his football team and all his players. They were awarded The Texas High School Coaches Association Texas state finalist for academic excellence. The Fightin’ Buck football team, along with 13 other high school teams, was named a finalist in 3A.

Bucks toss aside Presidio at Gallego

The Alpine Fightin’ Buck basketball team came back from nine points down to the Presidio Blue Devils to smash them in the second half at the Gallego center, 56- 42. Aiden Morrissey had 15 points to lead all scorers, Esteban Macias had 10 points, and Jayden and Jace Canaba had 13 and 9 points respectively.
