Marfa Young Life gearing up for summer camp

The weather is getting warmer, the end of the school year is approaching, and exciting plans are in the works for a timehonored youth tradition - summer camp, courtesy of Marfa Young Life. Young Life is a global, faith-based youth ministry for high school-aged teens, and many don’t even have to be regular churchgoers to attend.

Schools are for kids

There are seven weeks of school left in this school year. As with every year, we are amazed at how quickly we begin discussing end of year activities. Our time spent with students is always rewarding, and, as Craig Kielburger says, “Time flies when you’re changing the world.”

The C-virus revisited

This letter is an updated report on the C-virus, COVID, corona, China, or CCP, your choice pick one. Needed medical treatments were denied even as elective abortions were allowed. Influenza, among other things, was defined as the C-virus to bolster the infection count as fabricated infection and death counts were being reported. Americans were forced to wear masks, as lockdowns became responsible for the massive elimination of small businesses and obscene profits by large corporations. Lockdowns, to include school closures, also caused many deaths by suicide, violence, and substance abuse.

One of the comforts that carries us through crises such as we are experiencing as a nation on multiple fronts, especially leadership, is the wisdom imparted by those who have gone before, and whose ideas are still with us.

12U softball travels to Mansfield

The Alpine Lady Bucks 12U softball team traveled to Mansfield to play at the Big League Dreams Super Regionals 12U tournament on March 27-28 to kick off their 2021 season. The Lady Bucks carried a roster of nine athletes from Alpine and Marfa.
