Dear Neil: How can I control this vine? I planted it a few years ago and it has gone crazy. I’ve cut it back to its roots a number of times, but it keeps coming back. How can I eliminate it permanently?

Alpine High School will host two open house sessions on Monday, Sept. 12. The first session from 5-6 p.m. is for the general public to see the new space, and is open to everyone in Alpine. The second session from 6-7 p.m. is for parents and students.

Last weekend we celebrated Labor Day, a national holiday in recognition of workers and their achievements. There were parades, parties, and a day off for many workers.

Judd Foundation recently announced that Donald Judd’s architecture office, which was extensively damaged by a fire in June 2021 during the restoration of the building, will be re-constructed. The architecture office is planned to open to the public in spring 2024.

Unlike many people, I can eat soup year-round. This means I am always on the look-out for new soup recipes to try. Let’s face it, I am a gal who enjoys her comfort foods, and soup is always at the top of that list. This ravioli soup is right up my alley, and it is sure to even be a kid pleaser.
