Dear Neil, My pomelo citrus is struggling. It’s going on its third year. Its growth is very slow, and the leaves have turned from dark green to a very light green color. I fertilize it every four to six months. I use a spike to make 6-in. holes evenly spaced around the plant, then I use the recommended amount of food. I try to water it properly, but I’m careful not to overwater it. I also have a lemon, kumquat, and lime tree, and they’re all doing fine without troubles. What can I do?

In defense of a really good chicken salad

It may seem a little early to be talking about spring, but until recently, the weather has been mild, to say the least. I suspect I’m not alone, so if we’re not going to have a true, deepfreeze winter, we might as well let things warm up so we can get back outside. This time of year also brings thoughts of summer weight-loss goals, lighter spring meals, eating a little better, and, of course, the countdown to the Masters.
