He attended Sul Ross State University in 1947 where he met the love of his life, Jan Williams. They celebrated 70 beautiful years of marriage in May 2021.

Patsy Ruth Cavness, 91, of Krum, Texas, passed away on Jan. 23, 2022, in Denton, Texas. She was born on Nov. 12, 1930, to Leroy and Leta Mae Granger, in Marathon, Texas. Patsy attended school in Marathon, and married Sam Cavness on Sept. 2, 1946. She enjoyed cooking and quilting.

The Honorable Judge George Emmitt Grubb, Jr., 79, left this earth on Jan. 4, 2022. He was born to Vivian Edna Bloys Grubb and George Emmitt Grubb, Sr. on July 7, 1942. He lived on various ranches until 1959. The family moved to Fort Davis, Texas, after drought shut down many ranches. He lived in Fort Davis until he graduated from high school in 1960.

Robert Rubio, 78, passed away Jan. 5, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loved ones in Fort Davis, Texas. He was born on June 7, 1943, to Crispin and Librada Rubio in Falfurrias, Texas. He loved to watch his grandchildren play football. He crafted knives, and was a great artist. The Dallas Cowboys was his team. He enjoyed nature and fishing. His favorite place to be was Stone Village Market, and he love cruising around town. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart and life. He was a member of the Gate Way Wisdom Church in Fort Davis.
