Wanda Laquita Baker (née Willis), 92, of Alpine, passed away on November 2, 2022, in Alpine.

Her family will be receiving friends beginning at 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 10 at Alpine Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 11 at the Alpine Church of Christ where Laquita was a faithful member. Committal service and interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Laquita was born in Granite, OK to James R. and Ima A. Willis on June 20, 1930. She married Kenneth O. Baker on June 25, 1948. Laquita loved crocheting and actively traveling and exploring almost every state in America. She lived a very full and rewarding life and wanted all who knew her to take comfort that she would soon have that life of eternal peace and joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Kenneth Baker.

Laquita is survived by her sons Tom Baker and Bill Baker, her daughter Diana Baker, as well as her precious 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Baker, Bill Baker, Jason Baker, Diana Baker, and Roy Garcia.

Her family requests any donations in Laquita’s memory be made to the Sunshine House and/ or the Alpine Church of Christ.
