Juana V. Armendariz, age 90, of Hacienda de Orientales, Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10 in Alpine. Juana was born Feb. 8,1932 to Angel Vazquez and Manuela Bustamante in Hacienda de Orientales, Chihuahua Mexico. She was married to Concepcion Armendariz and was the mother of Luis Aranda and Lucy, Elvia Sandate and

Martin Sandate, Concepcion Armendariz, Jr., Angel Manuel Armendariz and Jose de la Cruz Armendariz. She also had nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. After marriage, she settled in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua.

She is preceded in death by her parents, various siblings, grandson Aquiles Gonzales, son Jose de la Cruz Armendariz, and her beloved husband Concepcion “Chon” Armendariz.

Juana was very dedicated to serving the Lord. She was full of joy with a huge smile on her face and was always singing. She was also very dedicated to her family that included grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed baking and knitting. She also enjoyed her time outdoors planting and going on walks.

Funeral services for Juana V. Armendariz were held at Alpine Memorial Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14. Burial was held at Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation was held at Alpine Memorial Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.

Pallbearers included Alejandro Carrette, Michael Higgins, Eric Marquez, Eric Marquez, Jr., Estevan Morales, and Carter Natividad.

Honorary pallbearers were Malachi Gonzales and Miles Natividad.
