Three Future Lady Bucks, Kacy Hawkins, Zariah Galvan and Taryn Hardin, traveled to Brownfield, Tx to play in the “SWING INTO SPRING” tournament with their Texas Futures travel softball team bringing home the Championship ring. The Texas Futures won 5 straight games, having to double dip their opponent Firecrackers for the Championship. All three girls had a great weekend offensively and defensively.

In what activities did you participate in high school? I participated in track, softball, and FFA. Who was your favorite teacher/coach, and why? My favorite coach is Coach Miranda because he always cared about his team and worked hard to make us better versions of ourselves.

2023 is the centennial year for state parks in Texas, and parks across the state are hosting festivals and celebrations to commemorate this milestone. Locally, Davis Mountains State Park, located just northwest of Fort Davis is hosting their own celebration.

Days ago, we welcomed Easter with glad alleluias and proclaiming, “He is Risen,” but this was not the case that first Easter morning. The last the disciples knew of Jesus he was dead and in a tomb. They were alone, afraid, confused and remained behind locked doors. Jesus had told them that he would return, and they had seen him raise Lazarus from the dead, but now Jesus was dead. How would it be possible for him to return? They had not understood, nor had they believed.
