The public is invited to attend the program “Feeding Washington’s Army” by well-known local author Barbara “Barney” Nelson. The Paisano Chapter, NSDAR, will sponsor this program on Sunday, March 1, at 3 p.m. at the Alpine Public Library.

The Lone Star Cowboy Poetry Gathering kicks off at noon today on the second floor of the Sul Ross University Center, where attendees can pick up their packets and buy tickets. Unlike past events, this year, the gathering coordinators split the gathering into two simultaneous events: one in Alpine and the other in Bastrop.
