Terlingua Robotics advances to Regionals

The Terlingua Purobots, Robotics team 11720, won the FTC El Paso Robotics League Championship on February 1, held at the University of Texas El Paso. They ended the regular season with 15 wins and five losses. The Purobots advanced to the championship rounds and won with an event-high score of 215 points. This team is the first in Terlingua school history to win the League Championship. The judges also awarded them with the Control Award for their consistent autonomous programming. They are advancing to Regionals in Lubbock, where they will be representing the El Paso League. Students are: Brooke Jenks – team captain and builder; Luna Barrett – human player and coder; Evan Clark – coder; David Gutierrez – driver and scout; Brayan Trujillo – driver and builder, Philip Lowe – coder and backup driver; Desiree Lujan – scout and statistics, Melody Orozco – budget and scout, Asa Reed – engineering notebook, Usiel Escalante – design coordinator and scout, Bailey Baker – builder and backup driver, Ervey Sotelo – 3D printer, and Adriel Guevara – builder. Patrick releases 25 legislative priorities Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has released his top 25 legislative priorities as the legislative session gets underway, The Texas Tribune reported. They include banning all forms of consumable THC, the psychoactive ingredient in CBD products; increasing the school homestead exemption from $100,000 to $140,000; a Texas version of a government oversight department to improve governmental efficiency; and measures to shore up the state’s electric grid and water supply.

I’ve tried a few diets. They all have their strengths, but it is easy to become sidetracked in the pursuit of weight loss or just plain eating well. Because, let’s face it, all those delicious “bad foods” are delicious!
