Makes 1 1/3 cups INGREDIENTS ½ teaspoon of finely grated lemon zest 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice 2 tablespoons minced shallots 1 ¼ teaspoons of Dijon mustard 1 small, minced garlic clove 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil Kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper DIRECTIONS In a blender, combine the lemon zest and juice, shallots, mustard, vinegar, and garlic. Puree until smooth.

We seem to be hearing a lot of debate around the word “king” these days, especially as we remember the birth of our nation on July 4th. After all, we claim that we fought the Revolution to free ourselves from a king.
