Fishing is a way of life for Sul Ross Anglers

Whether carried out recreationally or competitively, fishing is a sport that can last a lifetime. A pastime, that is attracting more popularity at Sul Ross State University with the Sul Ross Anglers Association, a fishing club initiated in 2021 that is supporting conservation efforts in conjunction with Texas Parks and Wildlife.

For the love of music

“…Music washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life, and says to each one; ‘thou art now no longer in thine office, or in the barracks, or in thy workshop,” wrote Berthold Auerbach in 1864. Music transports the listener to other places and times and can move people to tears.
The voices of the Big Bend Community Chorale, all ages in harmony together, spreading joy to the entire Big Bend area.
