The Brewster County Commissioners met on Tuesday, April 11 at 9:30 a.m. in the commissioner’s courtroom.

Two of Alpine High School’s teachers are becoming “spies.” Mrs. Cory Cason and Mrs. Renee Parson applied for a Fund for Teachers Fellows, which is a grant that aids teachers in transforming their instruction through professional growth and development to better enrich their students through success and support.

The murder trial for Travis Rutherford of Alpine was held last week in the 394th Judicial Court with the Honorable Judge Roy B. Ferguson presiding.

Texas Wing, Civil Air Patrol will be hosting their annual mountain flying clinic on Friday, April 14 through Sunday, April 16, at the Alpine-Casparis Municipal Airport. The clinic is open to all Civil Air Patrol members who may be interested in becoming qualified for mountain flight.
