Are you interested in having your photo on the cover of our Annual Big Bend Welcome Guide? This full color magazine offers visitors and newcomers a glimpse of the Davis Mountain-Trans Pecos region. Our contest is free and open to anyone. Participants are asked to capture the communities of the region or the surrounding flora and fauna in a personal, reflective way to reveal the personality of the Big Bend region through their eyes. The region itself has a rich history, a variety of architectural and natural landmarks and scenic views of all types and sizes. Through the artist’s own lens and outlook, the Big Bend region’s persona will bloom with high-quality, inspired, and surprising imagery.

Texas Wing to host annual Mountain Flying Clinic

Texas Wing, Civil Air Patrol will be hosting their annual mountain flying clinic on Friday, April 14 through Sunday, April 16, at the Alpine-Casparis Municipal Airport. The clinic is open to all Civil Air Patrol members who may be interested in becoming qualified for mountain flight.
