Council unites for progress

The Alpine City Council gathered for its regular session on Tuesday, November 19, in the council chambers. Ward 2 Councilor Eva Martinez was absent, but with the presence of all other councilors and Mayor Catherine Eaves, a quorum was established, allowing the meeting to proceed.

Brewster County eyes growth and safety

The Brewster County commissioners court convened for a special meeting on Tuesday, November 19, in the commissioners courtroom at the Brewster County Courthouse. With all commissioners present, Brewster County Judge Greg Henington presided over discussions and decisions on several key issues impacting the county.

Free community Thanksgiving dinner

The Chinati Foundation is hosting, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is organizing a free communitywide Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 28. Dinner will be served from noon until 2:30 p.m. at the Chinati Arena, 701 Katherine St. Everyone is invited.
