Amateur radio operators from Brewster, Jeff Davis, Presidio, and Pecos counties will be participating in a national radio exercise Saturday and Sunday, June 26-27. Big Bend Amateur Radio Club will be making round-the-clock contacts with clubs all over the country in an operation called field day.

Fourth of July celebrations are coming up, and what better way to spend time than by joining the festivities in Marathon? The event kicks off on July 2 as Tejano band Pudo Party All Starz will usher in the patriotic fiesta. Then on Saturday, July 3, the family friendly Dog and Pony Show Parade will start at 10 a.m.
