I have 15 years of classroom experience as a certified special education teacher, with four years in Fort Davis, 10 years in Alpine, and one year in Marfa. The experience as a certified classroom teacher gives me the knowledge to know what the teachers are needing to help them be successful. This allows me to make informed decisions to support our teachers and staff.

The Alpine Ghost Tours are back

Alpine Historic Association and Sul Ross State University Theatre Program announced the return of Alpine Ghost Tours on Friday and Saturday, April 22-23 at 8:30 p.m. Tours begin at the Reata Restaurant, where guests receive a complimentary “spooky” drink.

Early voting for May 7 elections starts Monday

Early voting for the City of Alpine and Alpine ISD Board of Trustees starts Monday, and voters will also have to make choices on two proposed Texas constitutional amendments. For the city, school teacher Catherine Eaves and Alpine businessman Amit Rangra will face off in the mayoral race to take Andy Ramos’ seat when he terms out in May.
