Reimagined: Not your mother’s meatloaf

HEAD OVER MEALS Nothing stirs up division quite like meatloaf. Once a staple in American kitchens during the 1950s and ’60s, it has quietly faded from everyday menus, yet it remains a hearty meal that can spark strong reactions; either warm nostalgia or complete turnoff, depending on where you land.

Lady Bucks trample the Wildcats at home

Body
Despite an up-and-down season thus far, after last Thursday’s walloping of the Anthony Wildcats (1-23), the Alpine Lady Bucks, now (8-16), sat at 3rd (2-2) in the district standings after falling earlier this month to district rivals Kermit and Presidio. The Wildcats lost to the Lady Bucks in February of last year, but it was nothing like the domination of this year’s Lady Bucks’ squad, where they allowed only three points on the board for their opponents, sweeping them in a rousing 84-3 victory.
