Fresh, new face for Porter’s in Alpine

Thanks to the Porter family legacy, the basic needs for the Big Bend area have been provided for generations now. As such, Alpine has become a hub for surrounding towns and travelers.

City approves military monument

The City of Alpine held its regularly scheduled city council meeting on Sept. 20, and a proposed monument honoring women in the military, code enforcement issues, and a strategic plan for the city drove the discussions.

Two volleyball rivals meet again

Two rivals met again over the weekend, and this time the Fort Davis Indians came to revenge a game already lost this season. When the Lady Bucks and the Indians met for the second time on Sept. 10, the Indians were ready for a fight.
