Creamy Tuscan chicken and gnocchi

Body
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and in the case of this creamy Tuscan chicken gnocchi, they aren’t wrong. Sadly, the transfer of digital photography to newsprint does not do the sight of this dish justice. The buttery, creamy shine of herb-covered chicken and tender gnocchi will leave your mouth watering in anticipation.

PET OF THE WEEK

Body
WEEK Look at this irresistible face. Lazlo is the last pup left in his litter. He’s a little boy, but as they say, big things come in little packages. What Lazlo lacks in size, he makes up for with his attitude. He loves to play tag with the other pups and lets them know who’s boss. You can meet this little cutie at the Alpine Animal Shelter at 2900 Old Marathon Rd or call 432837-9030.

TFEMS to offer community paramedicine

Body
This community paramedicine program provided by the Terlingua Fire and EMS (TFEMS) allows community paramedics to bridge the gap in hopes of reducing the frequency of visits to clinics or emergency rooms. This type of program is easily designed to fit the needs of the community it serves in order to improve access to healthcare and prevent patients from making a 911 call for a patient or visiting the local ER which is more than an hour away for residents in the national park, Study Butte, Terlingua, and Lajitas. According to Susan Martin, there are many communities across the state both rural and urban that are offering these types of programs with great success.
