The Alpine Lady Bucks are in full swing, racking up dominant district wins and showing no signs of slowing down. Over the past two games, they have outscored their opponents 28-1, keeping their bats hot, their defense sharp, and their pitching nearly untouchable.

AHS tennis earns hardware at Sul Ross

The Alpine High School JV tennis team participated in the Jean Everett Memorial Tennis Invitational hosted by Fort Davis High School on the Sul Ross campus on Friday. In the girl’s singles division, Kelston Behan placed second, while Madalyn Carter earned consolation.

Fightin’ Bucks successful at home relays

Alpine held its annual Fightin’ Buck Relays this past Saturday at Buck Stadium, and many Runnin’ Bucks earned hardware in both the JV and varsity contests. In the boys’ 100m dash, Thaddeus Prieto earned a second-place finish for the JV boys with a time of 12.25 seconds.

AHS Golf shines at home

The AHS boys’ and girls’ golf teams hit the links at home last week. The boys finished first in the tournament with an overall total of 347, and the girls placed fourth as a team with 437.
The AHS Boys’ Golf Team took first place on their home course last week with a combined score of 347. They traveled to Fort Stockton on Monday for the District tournament. Courtesy photo
