Scouting volunteers receive awards

On July 26, scouting volunteers Hector Holguin, Susan Billings, and Selena Martin received the District Award of Merit from the Buffalo Trail Council, Scouting America. The awards were presented at the Adult Leadership Appreciation Dinner held in Alpine and honored these volunteer scouters who have rendered service of an outstanding nature in the Big Bend District.

AHS volleyball players kicked off their 2025 season with their annual Midnight Madness event last Thursday night. The girls first met with their coaches for instructions and expectations for the upcoming season before family and friends showed up to be a part of their practice.

Purple and Gold Night tomorrow at Bucks Stadium

The Alpine Fightin’ Bucks football program is trading the Midnight Madness tradition for another this year, but the heart of the event remains the same: football, family, and community. Instead of holding Midnight Madness practice to give fans a preseason taste of Fightin’ Bucks football, the varsity and junior varsity squads will take part in a new event dubbed Purple and Gold Night, introduced by new head football coach and Alpine ISD Athletic Director Jerry Dominguez.
