WEEK Look at this irresistible face. Lazlo is the last pup left in his litter. He’s a little boy, but as they say, big things come in little packages. What Lazlo lacks in size, he makes up for with his attitude. He loves to play tag with the other pups and lets them know who’s boss. TFEMS to offer community paramedicine

This community paramedicine program provided by the Terlingua Fire and EMS (TFEMS) allows community paramedics to bridge the gap in hopes of reducing the frequency of visits to clinics or emergency rooms. This type of program is easily designed to fit the needs of the community it serves in order to improve access to healthcare and prevent patients from making a 911 call for a patient or visiting the local ER which is more than an hour away for residents in the national park, Study Butte, Terlingua, and Lajitas. According to Susan Martin, there are many communities across the state both rural and urban that are offering these types of programs with great success.

Suspect in custody after disturbance on Murphy Street

On the evening of Thursday, March 21 at approximately 9:17 p.m. officers with the Alpine Police Department (APD) responded to a call of possible shots fired around the 1300 block of West Murphy Street. Upon arrival, offi cers made contact with several residents in the area of the reported disturbance.

Mural graces wall for Humane Society

Alpine’s newest mural will greet everyone coming into the city from the North on the expansive wall of the Alpine Humane Society Thrift Store and Cattery at 706 N. 5th Street.
