The Big Bend Regional Hospital District (BBRHD) is a bi-county hospital district that serves Brewster and Presidio Counties. The management, control, and administration of all funds and resources of the district are vested in the Board of Directors. Our primary mission is to provide the Presidio Brewster County Indigent Health Care Program to our bi-county residents in a quality and costeff ective manner.

Applications are now being accepted for Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) grants from the City of Alpine for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Visitor events and other projects that draw overnight visits to the City are eligible for funding consideration, according to the requirements of state law.

Last week was a good week for AHS golf, with the boys’ JV team taking the win in Marfa, along with an individual spot on the podium by Thaddeus Prieto, as he placed third by shooting 102.
