There’s something unsettling about watching another team in purple and gold run wild on your own field, like looking in the mirror and realizing the reflection just scored again. That was the scene Friday night at Bucks Stadium, where the Alpine Bucks fell 56-7 to the visiting Crane Golden Cranes.

The Alpine High School Lady Bucks volleyball teams are on fire, and the varsity squad shows no signs of cooling down on the heels of five straight wins. After sweeping Tornillo on Tuesday, September 30, the purple- and-gold storm rolled into Presidio on Saturday and left with another straight-sets victory, taking down the Blue Devils 3-0 to notch their fourth consecutive win.
