Bonita came into the shelter in early September. Jennifer, the shelter manager, was driving back to the shelter on a busy road when she spotted a little kitten running across the road, one car ahead of her. The person in the car ahead stopped, and Bonita was able to be rescued. She was frightened at first, but quickly warmed up with love and cuddles. She is a calm and sweet kitten.

The Alpine Lady Bucks are officially on a roll. After cruising past the Anthony Wildcats on Tuesday, October 7, and the Kermit Yellow Jackets on Saturday, October 11, Alpine has now notched six consecutive wins and remains undefeated in district play.

The Alpine Bucks varsity football team dropped another district matchup on the road last Thursday, falling 52-3 to the Odessa Compass Academy Cougars. The loss moved Alpine to third place in the district standings (1-2) and to 1-6 overall on the season.
