The Kiwanis Club of Alpine held a meeting at Sul Ross State University’s University Center where they welcomed four new officers. In the photo, Treasurer Rhonda Cole, President John Smietana, Vice President Kevin Geehan, and Secretary Noreen Geehan. Kiwanis Club members enjoyed a delicious lunch with all the fixings to celebrate the start of a new service season. Kiwanis is an organization that serves the community with fundraising activities throughout the year.

What do you think of when you hear the words Southern food? Do you conjure up visions of collard greens, fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, or something else?
