New season for Lady Bucks

The Alpine Lady Bucks have already hit the court for practice and play for this fall season. As of October 18, head coach Christopher Virdell has a strong sense of faith in the abilities of the roster.

Terlingua student in top 50 at state 1A cross country meet

A Terlingua CSD student recently made school history when she qualified for the State UIL Cross Country meet held in Round Rock on November 3. Brooke Jenks, a junior at Terlingua High School finished in 33rd place with an overall time of 13:16 in the 1A division.

Lobos take on Division I New Mexico State

The Sul Ross State Lobos played their season opener in Las Cruces against the Division I New Mexico State Aggies. This exhibition game was played at the Pan American Center last Wednesday night in front of a crowd of over 4,000 and was broadcast on ESPN+.

Sul Ross women fall in season openers

The Sul Ross Lady Lobos hit the Pacific Northwest last weekend for two non-conference games to start off their 2023-2024 season at the Kim Evanger Raney Classic in Walla Walla, Wash.

Bucks win Bi-District third year in a row

On Friday night the Alpine Bucks traveled to Big Lake’s Reagan County High School for their bi-district game against the Brady Bulldogs, which would result in a 29-23 overtime win. “What a win for our kids and community.
