Improving headed into district

The Alpine Lady Bucks will move into district play on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the Gallego center on the campus of Sul Ross State University as the Lady Blue Devils from Presidio come to town. Presidio will be a big challenger in district as they have been a formidable opponent for many years.

Panthers win in trenches

The Fighting Alpine Buck faithful turned out in Fort Stockton in carloads last Friday night at a windy Panther Stadium. Too bad for the Buck fans that Alpine had no answer for a strong Fort Stockton run game, and quarterback Dom Aguilar’s five-touchdown night, falling 46-10.
