Body William Hayes Mitchell Jr. of Marfa passed away on August 6, 2026. Hayes was born on November 1, 1935, to William Hayes Mitchell Sr. and Adele Crain Mitchell. A rancher by birth, Hayes was the fourth generation of the Mitchell family to ranch in West Texas.

Body Lilia Rodriguez, daughter of the late Abel and Juanita Rodriguez, went home to be with the Lord onAugust 5, 2026, at the beautiful age of 98. Born on June 30, 1928, in Marathon, Lilia later made Alpine her home.

Body Arlene Dutchover Guerrero, 54, of Fort Davis, passed away peacefully at the Big Bend Regional Medical Center on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Arlene was born on January 17, 1972, in Alpine to Maria and Elias Dutchover.

Body Dwight Houston Yarbrough, beloved husband, father, veteran, counselor, educator, and longtime Midland resident, passed away after a life defined by service, integrity, compassion, and unwavering faith. A proud alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, Dwight earned his Ph.D.

Body Johnny Joe Marquez, 55, of Alpine, passed away suddenly on July 16, 2026, in Odessa, surrounded by his family and friends. Born in El Paso on August 19, 1970, Johnny spent nearly his entire life in Alpine, the community he loved and faithfully served.
