HEAD OVER MEALS When the temperature hits the mid-90s or higher, and the kids are screaming for pizza, the air fryer is to the rescue. While most kids are likely pretty simple when it comes to pizza toppings — pepperoni and cheese — adults with more adventurous palates can enjoy multi-ingredient pies.

Meet Tank! Tank has been at the shelter for over a year after being found running loose with his brother. The two had a history of getting out due to a fence that was improperly maintained and was not suitable for any pet.

ACP to hold garden project

Alpine Community Projects (ACP) will be holding their first beautifi cation project at their new location at 205 E. Sul Ross Avenue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. This is a comeand go event, with coffee and donuts. Anyone interested in helping clear the yard of weeds should bring gloves and yard equipment such as rakes and hoes. ACP is also requesting cardboard boxes and stacks of newspapers. Anyone with a pickup who is willing to get mulch from the recycling center that day should contact Kirsten Moody at kirsten@alpinecom munityprojects.org.
