Body Since being hired as the new Alpine ISD Superintendent, Dr. Michelle Rinehart has brought with her a true “hands across the water” approach to her position.

Body The City of Alpine along with Alpine ISD have called for a General Election to be held on Saturday, May 6. The City of Alpine began taking applications to file for positions on the City Council on Jan. 18 and will accept applications until Feb. 17, at 5 p.m.

Body Two former Alpine High School athletes were honored and remembered Friday night with the dedication of the new basketball court at Alpine High School. The court was named in honor of Brian Wilson – Class of 1991 – and Jill Stice – Class of 1994.

Body The Texas Department of State Health Services has renewed its battle against rabies along the Texas border by airdropping vaccine bait from planes leaving Edinburg, Del Rio and Alpine.
