City council members sworn into office

The City of Alpine held their regularly scheduled city council meeting last Tuesday evening in the council chambers. Besides other items on the agenda, the canvassing of votes and the swearing in of the newly elected council members was the primary focus at the beginning of the meeting.

By the time this devotional is printed in the newspaper, Easter 2023 will already be in the past. Some people may have given only fleeting attention to the resurrection of Christ. Others may be like a pastor I read about, who was so caught up with the reality that Jesus is alive that the church he pastors, now sings an Easter song every Sunday. That pastor had a transforming experience as he contemplated the meaning of the resurrection.
