Third graders do their part to Keep Alpine Beautiful

Body Last week, Veydah, Madison, Brooklyn, Arabella, Maylee, Cheyenne, Olivia, and Lindley saw that trash had blown into their playground at Alpine Elementary School. They brought a trash can outside and used part of their recess time to clean up their playground.

Quilts of many colors

Body The annual quilt show was held this past Saturday at the Sunshine House, showcasing the talents of local quilters.
Robbie Ann Burns stands beside one of several quilts she had on display at the annual quilt show this past Saturday. Burns’ quilt is entitled “My Story on a Bookshelf” where she commented, “I don’t believe any book should be banned. I think we can learn something from all of them.” The quilt listed many of the books Burns had read over the years, and although she’d had several offers to buy it, she turned them down. DEA partners to host Spring Take Back Day

Body The Drug Enforcement Administration has announced the date of its bi-annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This Saturday, April 27, DEA, and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs.
