Lifelong resident of Alpine, Elizabeth McLean, age 96, passed away on September 24. She was born to the late Kurt and Anna Lange in Alpine, on November 17, 1926. Elizabeth attended Alpine Schools and Graduated in 1943. She then attended Sul Ross State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science McLean in 1943. She is Survived by her two children, Clinnell McLean (Jerry) and Marshall Lange McLean. Grandchildren: Kiley McComb (Valerie) Krystel Mc-Comb Kiser (Aaron), Kasey McComb (Erin), Jody McLean, Wyatt McLean, (Alondra) Garrett McLean and Jillian Torres (William). Greatgrandchildren, Amanda McLean, Kaylan Kiser, degree and a Master of Education.

Sammy Lee Fitzgerald, a beloved husband, brother, and son, passed away on September 19, in Lubbock. Born on November 5, 1956, in El Paso, Sammy lived a fulfilling life marked by his dedication to his work as an electrician and his genuine joy for the simple pleasures’ life had to offer.

It is with great sadness that the family of Monserratt “Monsey” Dominguez Curtis announce her passing on September 12, at the age of 92, in San Antonio. Monserratt was born to Pedro and Santos Dominguez of Balmorhea on September 19, 1930. Monserratt is preceded in death by her loving husband, Oscar Levake Curtis.

Isabel Ramirez, age 100 of Alpine, passed away September 17 at home surrounded by family in Alpine. She was born July 7, 1923, to Joe and Isabel White in Marathon. Isabel married Luis Ramirez on November 23, 1952, in Marathon, and lived in Big Bend National Park for many years. She was a devoted housewife and mother to three children.

Ellen Buren Melvin left us and joined our Lord in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 6. Ellen was born on July 28, 1961, in Marfa to Paul and Joan Thomas Buren.

Martha Kathleen Sleeper, 75, died Monday after complications from surgery. Cremation will be by BorenConner Funeral Home in Bullard; family services will be later at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco.

Sammy Q. Morales, 58, of Alpine, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, in Fort Stockton.

We are grieved to announce, Morgan “Marcus” Lee Osborne (17 years old) was killed the afternoon of August 15, in Midland County. The bereaved survivors include his stepfamily in Midland, Carla Ianet Gonzalez (stepmother), Kelis Salgado (step-father), Alexanndrea Winstead (sister), and Brianna Gatlin (sister).

On August 3, Robert Cloman Clanton passed away peacefully with his wife of 66 years by his side. Robert is lovingly known as Bobby by his friends, Dad by his five children, and Granddad by his nine grandchildren. Robert was born on April 22, 1936, in Alpine, to Lucile Cloman Perry and John Arthur Clanton. He was raised in Alpine with many fond memories that he often shared with friends and family.
