Christmas store open two more days

In case you missed Saturday’s function at Hillside Baptist Church, the folks there will open their Annual Children’s Christmas Store for two more days. The “store” will be in the Fellowship Hall at Hillside and will be open from 1:30 p.m.

The folks at Hillside Baptist Church in Alpine, Texas, cordially invite the public to share in their annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on December 24 at 7 p.m. Traditional Christmas carols sung by the congregation, interspersed with scriptures telling of the birth of Christ, will help all to remember the reason for this beautiful season of love, life, and giving. Annual Live Nativity begins tomorrow

The Annual Live Nativity, sponsored by Michael’s Mountain Ministry of Alpine, will be held December 19, 20, and 21 this year at the stable area by Kokernot Lodge. Performances will begin at 7 p.m. each evening, with coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies served to audience members and participants after each performance.

BCSO responds to fatal accident

Early Tuesday morning, Brewster County Deputies and DPS State Troopers responded to a rollover crash near Altuda on Highway 90. All three occupants were transported to Big Bend Regional Medical Center for treatment. A 19-year-old male, from Ojinaga, Mexico, was pronounced deceased following transport.
